Leadership Roles
President Elect
President-Elect usually gets a whole year of training in leading the division before taking over as President. The President-elect shall:
- serve as a member of the Executive Committee
- succeed the Presidency upon a temporary or permanent vacancy in that office
- other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Executive Committee.
President
The Chief Executive Officer of the IASGW and
- Presiding at all meetings of the IASGW and the Executive Committee.
- Providing leadership in the achievement of the purposes, goals, and objectives of the IASGW.
- Appointing chairpersons of all committees, upon the advice and consent of the Executive Committee.
- Serving as an ex-officio member on all committees.
Secretary
A member of the Executive Committee and
- transmit the minutes of all such meetings to all members of the Executive Committee
- assist in conducting the official correspondence of the IASGW
- issue calls and notices of meetings
- notify all Association members regarding election results
Treasurer
A member of the Executive Committee and
- review and approve for payment properly submitted vouchers
- submit a financial report monthly for review at each board meeting
- submit a complete fiscal report to the Executive Committee immediately upon the close of the fiscal year
- other appropriate duties as may be directed by the Executive Committee
